No doubt some of you have read about the fun factor of the HK in 22LR. It is very fun. When I go to the range, I'm usually surrounded by a bunch of 5.56 AR-15s of all sorts - long barrel, carbine, etc... All of them are firing slowly because each trigger pull on average costs at least a quarter ($.25).
Me, I blast away happily with my HK and for $20.00, I get to shoot over 500 rounds all day long.
Accuracy, I'm very pleased with it. With the EOTech, I'm able to place them in the bulls eye almost all the time from 50 to 100 yards out. We're also one of the lucky ranges here to have a tin-can area and its so fun.
I'm not an operator. I'm not likely to become an operator any time soon. So for us Mall Ninjas, this is a great rifle that doesn't break the bank and easy to work with.
Cleaning has been a bit of a pain since some areas in the upper receiver make it very hard to get your fingers and or a brush into. More on that later in my customization section.
The only bummer is the buffer tube which will never be easy to replace since it is a very custom tube on the inside. I thought about modding this part, but it would require that I tap out the entire rear of the lower receiver and it would not be an easy job.
