Over the last several months, I've been slowly building from 80% a 5.56 pistol.  The best jig on the market is the one from 80%Arms called - "The Easy Jig". The EJ uses a router and can pretty much guarantee a successful cut with a FC pocket that looks like a CNC did it.  I got the Universal version because I didn't want to use their lower (needed ambi).   The instructions and Youtube video make it so easy.  It is all done with feel vs eye when routing.  Go slow and don't try to rush and you'll get a perfect lower.  A drill press makes it easier and I would recommend that.  Again, a link to the 80%Arms jig is here:  80% Arms Universal Easy Jig . I finished my 80% lowers using the QD ambi and the 80%Arms easy jig.  The 80%Arms easy jig allows the user of an end-mill and a router which make the fire control pocket nearly perfect.  Here's a picture of them before paint and buildup. You cannot have the Autobot without have a Decepticon.  One will be 5.56 and the other in 300BLK.  Guess which one will get the 300BLK upper?

M1A EBR Back Together in Foliage Green +15% Black.  One thing to note, if you have an Sage EBR stock, you will need possibly more shims because the old stock end may be "thicker" than the shim provided by Sage.  When shimming, use a paper clip to ensure that you don't over shim and the gas port from the barrel to the gas block are properly aligned.  Mine was too loose and allowed it to move ever so slightly.  It didn't affect performance or function.  With a set of shims, tight.
